Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, address, or phone number, goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only what the sender chooses to provide, and we use that information to answer.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs can record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps maintain the service and show which content visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvement. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles of individual readers.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to Elko County and Nevada offices, courts, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Information entered on a linked service follows that service's privacy policy, not this one. The same distinction applies to sponsored results furnished by a third party.
When Information May Be Shared
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic data already described. We may disclose data in response to valid legal process, but otherwise do not share visitor information.
Safeguarding Limited Data
An encrypted connection serves the site, and logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Since no visitor accounts exist, Elko People Search does not hold account passwords or user profiles.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Privacy rights vary by residence. Nevada's online privacy provisions at NRS 603A.300 through 603A.360 include a verified request to opt out of certain sales of covered information, with government public records excluded from the statutory definition. Because we retain little data, a request usually involves checking contact messages and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Records held by Elko, Elko County, or Nevada offices remain under the control of their custodians, so requests about those records must go to the responsible office.
